Come and fish our superb 7 acre lake which has recently had its existing stock boosted with lots more 20 – 40lb carp.
It is over 30 years since the lake, set in 80 acres of unspoilt countryside, has been fished. It is situated in the Forêt de la Double and the rural setting means peace and tranquillity for you to enjoy your carp-fishing holiday.
To keep the lake exclusive we have limited the number of anglers to 4. If you wish to book the whole lake a maximum of 6 anglers are allowed.
Located near Montpon in the Dordogne, close to Bordeaux and Bergerac airports (pick-up service available).
Accommodation is bivvy (bring your own or rent) with a communal chalet.
3 Bedroom gite with separate 1½ acre coarse fishing lake also available (please see Gite page).
Rent of tackle & bivvy, if required.

GENERAL INFORMATION
We have three lakes on site – the specimen lake, the course fishing lake and a third lake, which is not yet available for fishing as the dam is currently undergoing repair.
The lakes lie in tranquil and private woodland surroundings, set in 80 acres of rolling French countryside. The specimen lake is surrounded by mature trees providing peaceful seclusion for a very relaxing holiday.
4 anglers – 6 swims. If you book the whole lake exclusively for you, the number of angers may be increased to 6.
Stocks boosted this winter with more 20 x 30lb carp.

Accommodation is bivvy with a shared chalet which is equipped with basic cooking facilities, kettle. Separate loo. Further facilities (English toilet, shower etc.) are available on site.
THINGS TO DO
Although off the beaten track, you are just five minutes drive from the local village which has a small shop and bakery, a post office, butchers and an excellent restaurant/bar.
It takes about 10 minutes to drive to the larger town of Montpon which has a good range of traditional French shops, two supermarkets, bars, banks, as well as a bait & tackle shop, tourist office etc.
There are lots of thing to do and see in the area and the coast is just over an hour and a half’s drive away. There is a large swimming lake that is ten minutes drive away which also has picnic areas, forest walks and some designated fishing areas. The Dordogne is a beautiful region of forests and rolling hills with some of the best vineyards in the world creating some of the finest wines.

Tackle hire includes (per angler):
- 2 x carp rods.
- 1 x rodpod.
- 1 x set of scales and sling.
- 1 x carp unhooking mat
- 1 x Bivvy
- 1 x bed chair
- 1 x landing net
Angler to supply reels, buzzers, terminal tackle, sleeping bag and torch. Please note that terminal tackle and bait are not supplied as part of the package, but can be provided at an extra cost, if required. We are happy to go and get any extra things you may need whilst you are here - fishing stuff, bait, shopping etc.
Airport pick-up service available from either Bordeaux or Bergerac
Home-cooked food package available at £85 per person (breakfast, light lunch, evening meal)
How to book
Contact us by telephone or email to ensure your required holiday dates are available and we will then reserve these dates for you. Provisional bookings made in this way will be held for 14 days.
To confirm a booking please complete and sign the booking form and send it with your deposit (non-refundable) to the address at the bottom of the form. Please make cheques payable to Mr G Martin.
If you have booked the whole lake, each angler must complete a booking form and sign it where appropriate, as this is part of your holiday contract (the booking form may take a couple of minutes to load - please be patient).
Full payment must be made 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
